Las Vegas Freebies Today – 5/14/09
The iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign turns 50 years old and Mayor Oscar Goodman will mark the occasion at 10 am when he proclaims the official start of summer (hey, it’s our city and it was 97 degrees yesterday, so we’ll start summer when we wanna). To celebrate the event the Fashion Show Mall will host a swimwear retrospective runway show followed by a Bikini Parade, which will shut down The Strip for a short time in an attempt to set a new world record.
