Clark County officially turns 100 years old today so county officials will gather at the Clark County Government Center Rotunda on S. Grand Central Parkway at 5 pm to host an exhibit that chronicles the county’s history. After the ceremony local authors and historians will discuss Howard Hughes’ on the area. Burton Cohen, head of Desert Inn during the Hughes years, Geoff Schumacher, CityLife columnist and publisher and Peg Crockett, a friend of Hughes will participate in this “Centennial Stories” roundtable. Admission is free.
