Magician Steve Wyrick will celebrate Independence Day by attempting a “Death Drop” escape at Planet Hollywood that will see him locked and shackled in a box and suspended 80 feet over a bed of 500 flaming spikes. The ropes will be set on fire and Wyrick will have to escape before they burn through and the box plunges to the ground. Wyrick will be assisted in the stunt by Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington, and members of the group Dead by Sunrise.

Fortune performs Top 40 Dance and Rock in The Courtyard at The District at Green Valley Ranch from 6 pm until 10 pm. Or you can catch a free movie on the Green at 8 pm. Tonight’s film is “The Seeker: The Dark is Rising.” Admission is free to both and so is the popcorn.
