We were on the Strip the night of the Aria grand opening and I honestly have never seen it so quiet out there. Airlines have already started to decrease the number of flights into McCarron and even more flights will be cut after the first of the year. The Comedy Fest was cancelled this year and organizers called off CineVegas for 2010 quite some time ago. These are definitely scary times for Sin City. There’s no doubt about it. We've noticed that airfare rates have stabilized (rates have actually decreased) but the number of folks flying in to the island for the holidays is way down.
