Aykroyd to Host Crystal Head Vodka Bottle Signing

Filed under: Las Vegas Stuff To Do — Tags: — golvb @ 7:45 pm March 2, 2010

Hmmm, it seems all that “Ghostbusters” money ran out before Mr. Aykroyd could properly finance his Crystal Head Vodka marketing effort.

It really looks like he could use your support, so if you’re cruisin’ the southwestern part of the valley next Tuesday, stop by and say ‘Hey!’ While you’re at it, buy a bottle. These days, who couldn’t use a skull-shaped bottle of vodka with a cork in it’s head?

The Double Down in Las Vegas is already famous for its signature libation – Ass Juice – and attitude, as evidenced by the sign on the wall, “You Puke, You Clean.” Now owner P. Moss, who also owns Frankie’s Tiki Room, can add author to his list of personal accomplishments. The delightfully seedy saloon on Paradise will be the backdrop tonight for a book launch party like you’ve never seen before. “Blue Vegas,” a collection of short stories will be introduced to the public tonight from 8 pm-10 pm with an author reading/signing freak show performances by SwingShift SideShow, and unspecified surprises that promise to “blow your mind”.

The Tuesday evening cooking class series continues at Whole Foods Market at Town Square tonight with Joel Gilmore, who ended up at WFM after working at Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at MGM and Spago at Caesars Palace. Chef Gilmore will demonstrate the use of local in-season ingredients in easy gourmet meals. Tonight’s menus includes Arugula with roasted balsamic shallots, Ancho chile bacon wrapped scallops, grilled pork tenderloin and wild berry and lemon parfait. The class runs from 6-8 pm and admission is free. RSVP with Customer Service or email Sara in Marketing

BTW…you may have seen the ad in the Las Vegas Weekly offering free passes to “Alice in Wonderland” if you stop by the office this afternoon. DON’T GO! They ran out of passes yesterday. Apparently they’ll be giving away more on their Facebook page sometime today, so you can give that a try.
