Las Vegas BikeFest Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Las Vegas Bikefest kicked off today at the Cashman Center and it’s all about the bikes through Sunday as this annual biker bacchanalia celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The Sahara along with downtown properties the Golden Nugget and the Fitz are serving as this year’s host hotels for the event and the schedule is jam packed with poker runs, poker tournaments, autograph sessions, wet t-shirt contests and more.

Vendor Village

Cashman Center

Free parking is available. Shuttles to Vendor Village depart from the Fitz Hotel valet area and in front of the Sahara. Shuttle rides are free for all Las Vegas BikeFest registrants. Cost is $5 if you are not registered and will be collected at the pick-up location.

Thursday, Sept 30

Village Oasis at Vendor Village – Cashman Center – Free beer and snacks for all registrants. Special guests include Mayor Oscar Goodman, Billy Huffsey, Elisa Furr, Julia Nixon, Kathleen Kinmont, Duncan Foure and entertainment will be provided by Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse.  7 pm-9 pm

Hogs ‘n Heifers – 3rd Street – The Ruffnecks perform 8 pm-11 pm. Doors prizes and drink specials.

Friday, Oct 1

House of Lords – Sahara – Beef, Bourbon & Babes – Special prix-fixe menu available in addition to the regular menu. Cocktails included from Bullet Bourbon & Harlem Liquor.  Leather and Lingerie show featuring the women of “Striptease”.

Sahara Pool – Las Vegas BikeFest 10th Anniversary Party – Doors open at 9 pm. Admission is free. The first 1,000 through the door get a commemorative anniversary gift. Food and drink specials. Bikini trike races, wet wife-beater contest and more. Live entertainment by Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse. Sahara Pool – Rock ‘n Roll Beerbust –  $40 for BikeFest registrants/$50 for all others. All the BBQ you can eat and all the Miller beer you can drink. Two live bands. 4 pm-10 pm.

Hogs & Heifers – 3rd Street – Live music by Southern Stue, 8 pm-11 pm. Door prizes and drink specials.

NASCAR Café – Sahara – Bikefest After Party – Free admission for BikeFest registrants/$10 for all others. Live band, contests, giveaways, food and drink specials. 10 pm.

Sunday, Oct 3

Hogs & Heifers – 3rd Street – It Ain’t Over Til We Say it’s So BBQ – Live entertainment by Whiskey Revival and Darby O’Gill and the Little People.

Autograph Sessions

Artistry in Iron Official Autograph Session – Vendor Village AII Exhibit – Complimentary official souvenir autograph program for all registrants. Noon-2 pm & 3 pm-5 pm.

Friday, Oct 1

Aristry in Iron, Master Builder’s Championship – Vendor Village – Invitation only show. 10 am-8 pm

World’s Strongest Biker – Vendor Village Exhibit Hall – 11 am-noon. Competition categories: Trike Pull, Tire Carry and Keg Carry. All registrants are welcome to participate. $300 to the winner and $200 to the runner-up. Registration: 10 am-11 am.

Bikini Contest – Cashman Center Theater – 1 pm-2 pm. $500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place and $200 for 3rd place. Celebrity guest judges will pick the winners.  Attendance open to all registrants.

Hog Out Competition Preliminary Heats – Harley-Davidson Café – Winner determined by who can eat the most hog sandwiches in two minutes. 2 pm-3 pm.

Mr. Las Vegas Bikefest – Cashman Center Theater – 3 pm-4 pm. One lucky lady registrant will be selected to be the judge. Sign up for the random drawing at the registration area. Attendance open to all registrants.

Las Vegas Harley-Davidson Wet T-Shirt Contest – 2605 S Eastern – $1,000 for the winner. $500 for 2nd place. $250 for 3rd place. 5 pm-6 pm

Saturday, Oct 2

Custom Bike Show – Cashman Center – Check-in 8 am-10 am at the Grant Sawyer State Office Building on Washington Avenue. Judging begins at 10 am. $3,000 prize for the winner of the Radical Class.

Miss Las Vegas Bikefest – Cashman Center Theater – Sign up 1 pm-2 pm. Sexy bike wear, bedroom attire and bike pose categories. $1,000 to the winner. $500 for 2nd place. $250 for 3rd place.  Attendance and competition open to registrants.

Hog Out Competition Finals – Harley-Davidson Café – Winner determined by who can eat the most hog sandwiches in two minutes. 5 pm.

Poker Runs

Friday, Oct 1

Ultimate Pass Poker Run – Check in 7:30-9 am at the NASCAR Café at the Sahara. Poker Run starts at 8 am and features a ride through Red Rock. $1,000 for the best hand and $250 for the worst hand. Run ends at Vendor Village with a complimentary beer. Approximate distance is 75 miles. Event open to Ultimate Pass registrants.

Saturday, Oct 2

$10,000 Poker Run – Check in 9 am at the NASCAR Café at the Sahara. Event open to Ultimate Pass registrants. Scenic ride along Lake Mead. Park fee of $3 (single rider), $5 (two riders on one bike) to enter the park. Approximate distance: 75 miles.
